About Wildwood Waffles

Founded in 2017 by Harry Smith, an Army veteran and entrepreneur, Wildwood Waffles came from the idea to be different first and foremost. So we started in the corner of a garden supply store in Rio Dell, CA! With the abundance of pizza, Mexican style food and burgers in Humboldt, CA, a change was desired. These “waffle tacos” met that desire and beyond. From winning Best Chili at the 2019 Fortuna Chili Cook-off, having a write up as the “Best Waffles in NorCal” by the SF Gate, and being awarded silver in Best Breakfast in Humboldt County 2024(Listeners Choice), Wildwood Waffles hit the map.

Having acquired a second location in Jan 2024 at Finholm’s Market in Gig Harbor, Wa it was time to expand. Made fresh from a recipe concocted by Harry and manager Keira Porter, it has been the staple of the best flavors a waffle can offer. Adding jams, butters, meats, cheeses and a plethora of different ingredients, any combination will please your palette.
